Journey to the Exoplanets - iPad app
Explore the Exoplanets, see what they are like from the surface, and build your own planet.
It’s not so much the execution of this app that I like, but the in-depth knowledge it shows off. Check it out.
PRISMA1666
The installation is a collaboration between Wonwei and Shanghai-based design studio Super Nature Design. It was first exhibited at the 2011 International Science and Art Exhibition in Shanghai where it received the Best Creative Design Award.
PRISMA1666 is an interactive light installation consisting of 15 triangular crystal blocks distributed randomly on a clean white surface. The projection of colorful graphics is refracted and dispersed by these crystal blocks, creating a fascinating visual experience and ambiance.
And something they seem to forget, it’s iPad controlled.
iOS developers TwoLivesLeft have created a touch based coding app for the iPad, something which is now allowed since Apple relaxed their App Store rules.
It even comes with a selection of pre-sets to play about with.
Nice!
Adobe Photoshop Touch Apps
Adobe have recently announced 6 new iPad apps for Photoshop productivity. Maybe I now need to get an iPad?

VOID - Conceptual Processing Magazine
Beautiful and in-depth iPad concept from Berlin-based freelance designer Natalie Hanke. The magazine aims to bring coding closer to designers by presenting examples that are interactive and visually stunning. I’d absolutely love to have something like this that’s updated often. As a resource; being able to view, test out and manipulate creative code that’s presented so elegantly would be a fantastic stimulus to have around.
Kickstart. Now!
A stunning idea and design.
FontBook iPad app
FontBook, the world’s most comprehensive typographical reference guide, is now available on iPad. If typography were a religion, this would be the Bible. FontBook™ is the world’s most comprehensive typographic reference tool, containing 110 type foundries and featuring over 620,000 typeface specimens. Use the FontBook app to look up and view fonts by name, style category, typographical subclassification, designer name, foundry name, year of publication, or by similarity of design. Compile your own list of favorite fonts, and use the “compare” tool to test-drive fonts. Specially designed for fast, easy navigation and also works as a fun playground for finding inspiration.
The Polyphonic Spree - Bullseye
Their first release of their new album also comes with an interactive iPad app music video which is a character based narrative.
Its such a simple and pretty looking application. Cant help but think they are limiting their fan base though, unless they bring out a non-interactive version.
3D Augmented Reality Video With Kinect + iPad
This is a great experiment, the combination of Kinect and iPad to make holographic-like 3D projections using augmented reality.
This could be a great idea for games and the likes.
