This is a great use of Google Earth and reveals accounts of Hiroshimas survivors.
It includes photos, maps and other material, together with aerial photos, 3D topographical data, and models as of 2010.
Shame I can’t read Japanese, but for those of you who can, enjoy even more than I did.
Samsung Galaxy - Space Balloon Project
We those crazy Japanese are at it again!
Very cool campaign from Samsung-Japan that tests the social capabilities of their new Galaxy handset (and also ties in nicely to the product name), by sending it into space and allowing people to tweet the phone live, as it’s broadcast on Ustream.
The event has great tie in with Japanese culture right now, with good-will messages encouraged to the nation, and a select set of musicians commissioned to compose music for the event (another selling point of the phone, and a big hitter with its target audience).

Such an awesome idea, and I cant wait for the upload of the HD videos in August.
